The Luzerne County Bar Association Charitable Foundation Inc., the charitable arm of the county bar association, presented a donation grant to Paint Pittston Pink. Paint Pittston Pink is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the raising of funds to end breast cancer and, eventually, through research and clinical trials, all cancer. The charity supports the development of breast cancer vaccine and the clinical trials of Brian J. Czerniecki, M.D., Ph.D. and his team of researchers at the University of Philadelphia. One hundred percent of the funds collected by Paint Pittston Pink is donated for this purpose to the Pennies in Action Fund at the University. Paint Pittston Pink was co-founded by Barbara Sciandra and attorney Qiana Murphy Lehman. Over the last two years, Paint Pittston Pink has raised over $80,000.
